- OBJECTIVE:
- To describe a standard operating procedure for safety training.
- SCOPE:
- This Procedure is applicable for safety training at {Company Name} {Company Location}.
- RESPONSIBILITY:
- In-charge EHS
- ACCOUNTABILITY:
- QA Manager shall be accountable for Approval & Implementation of SOP.
- PROCEDURE:
- Ensure the presence of all the Employees, working in the Plant.
- Conduct the Training program, either on request of HOD’s or as per need.
- Send a prior information to respective sectional HOD’s through e-mail or internal Communication, to permit Employees for attending the scheduled training.
- Enter the details of training in the current version of the respective format., as per Training Department.
- At the end of the training session, evaluate all the participants.
- The participant who scores less than 75% marks, is to be retrained within two months’ time followed by re-evaluation.
- Conduct the training program for new joiners on regular basis.
- Ensure that the syllabus or contents for this training program is covered as below:
- Importance of Safety.
- Accident prevention
- Properties of Chemicals (MSDS).
- Health Hazard.
- Development of safe working conditions.
- Personnel Protective Equipment’s(PPE).
- Good Housekeeping practices
- Electrical Safety.
- Static Electricity.
- Work Permit system.
- Material Handling.
- Safety in use of portable tolls
