CALIBRATION OF B.O.D INCUBATOR CHAMBERS

  • PROCEDURE:
  • Keep all sensors of calibrator for temperature monitoring inside the BOD incubator chamber near to the existing inbuilt sensors of chamber as per the Format-I.
  • Switch on the calibrator and observe the display for temperature.
  • Calibrator should be standardized at ‘NIST’ or ‘ERTL’ or ‘NPL’ or ‘ETDC’ equivalent authorities and the traceability certificates shall be obtained.
  • The calibration may be done by the external agency if required, as per the procedure mentioned in this SOP.
  • Calibration duration shall be minimum of 4 hrs. for the set condition.
  • Readings shall be taken with 15 minutes time intervals.
  • Calibration shall be carried out on ±15 days, from the calibration due date.
  • After the calibration record the results in calibration record as per the Format-II.
  • Calibration Frequency: Once in year.
  • Acceptance criteria: ± 1 0C for set temperature.

Note: Attach the data logger printouts with Format-I.
