Preventive Maintenance Checklist of Multiple Effect Evaporator
Multiple Effect Evaporators (MEEs) are highly efficient systems used in the pharmaceutical industry for concentrating solutions by evaporating solvents. MEEs consist of multiple interconnected vessels, each operating at progressively lower pressures. Steam is introduced into the first vessel, generating vapor that is used to heat the second vessel, and so on. This cascading effect maximizes energy utilization, significantly reducing operational costs. MEEs are widely employed in pharmaceutical manufacturing for concentrating syrups, extracts, and other liquid formulations, ensuring precise control over the evaporation process and maintaining product quality.
