- PROCEDURE:
- Calibration of the instrument:
- Operate the Instrument as per respective operation SOP.
- For Calibration of the instrument like unit wise starting with, for calibration of optical bench three certified particle size standards shall be used i.e. 300nm, 1µm and 8.9µm, (These are all polymer micro spheres suspended in water, which have traceability to NIST), three trials of each standards should be carried out and average should be considered for calibration.
- For Calibration of Hydro SM unit QAS 3001 quality audit standard shall be used having particle size ranges between 15 to 150 µm.
- Three trials of standard should be carried out and average should be considered for calibration.
- For SCIROCCO dry feeder unit QAS 3002 quality audit standard shall be used having particle size of which ranges between 15 to 150 µm.
- Only one trial has to be taken with standard for calibration.
- If anyone the unit fails in Calibration that unit will be taken for calibration and it will be done by the service engineer.
- Calibration of the instrument is carried out once in year OR in case of any major maintenance work OR Background is not shown by anti-parabolic curve.
Note: Alternatively, calibration shall be performed by the external expertise as per schedule.
