CLEANING OF DISINTEGRATION TEST APPARATUS (MAKE – ELECTRO LAB)

• OBJECTIVE:

• To lay down the procedure for cleaning of Disintegration test apparatus (Make – Electro Lab and Model: ED-2AL).

• SCOPE:

• This SOP is applicable for the cleaning of Disintegration test apparatusat {Company Name} {Location}.

• RESPONSIBILITY:
• Officer/Executive/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for cleaning the instrument as per SOP.
• Head/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for ensuring compliance as per SOP.
• ACCOUNTABILITY:

             QA Head shall be Accountable for implementation of SOP.

• PROCEDURE:
  • Ensure that the power supply to the apparatus is switched OFF before removing water from the bath.
  • Use mild detergents for cleaning the bath.
  • Replace the water from the bath weekly or whenever algae propagation in the bath.
  • Switch OFF the apparatus and power supply before and after the test is over, clean the basket, discs and beaker.
