CLEANING OF VACUUM OVEN

  • OBJECTIVE:

To lay down the procedure for cleaning of vacuum oven.

  • SCOPE:

This SOP is applicable for the cleaning of vacuum oven at {Company Name} {Location}.

  • RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Officer/Executive/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for cleaning the instrument as per SOP.
  • Head/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for ensuring compliance as per SOP.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY:

             QA Head shall be Accountable for implementation of SOP.

  • PROCEDURE:
    • Ensure that the instrument is clean and free from dust
    • Cleaning procedure:
      • The interior and exterior surfaces of the chamber should be cleaned by using warm water and mild soap and should be wiped with a soft cloth.
      • Vinyl gaskets should be cleaned with the help of baking soda and warm water, wiping dry using a soft cloth.
