OPERATING OF AIR HANDLING UNIT

  • PROCEDURE:
  • Procedure for operating of Air Handling Unit:
  • PRECAUTIONS:
  • Check the service door shall be closed condition before starting the AHU.
  • Check the damper position as per standard marking, if not in proper position adjust it.
  • If AHU connected with De-Humidifier, first switch on the AHU and then de-humidifier.
  • If the AHU is connected to Bag In –Bag out filters Chamber, ensure that all the doors are in closed position.
  • Switch on the High pressure area AHU’s first followed by the low pressure areas in case of power resume after power failure as per below mentioned.

Note: Ensure while switching off process AHU’s except corridor AHU other supporting AHU’s shall be switched OFF sequentially.

  • Starting of the AHU’s activity should be followed.
  • Stopping of the AHU’s by reversing the operation sequence.
  • STARTING:
  • Start AHU Blower Motor by pressing start push button. Observe for any abnormal sound or vibrations. Select the Auto mode to operate automatically, other wise put the system in Manual mode. Record ON timing in Annexure-I.
  • If AHU runs continuously, put ‘RC’ in ON time column of log sheet.
  • Note: Switch ON the AHU’s 30 minutes before starting of operations in the areas to obtain the stabilized class and conditions 0.1
  •  STOPPING:
  • Stop the AHU Blower Motor by pressing the stop push button. Record OFF timing in Annexure-I.
  • If AHU runs continuously, put ‘RC’ in OFF time column of log sheet. Frequency of AHU operation.
  • Whenever the area is in operation. Whenever the area is not in operation, concerned AHU shall be switched ON for two hours in a day and the same shall be recorded in Annexure-I.
  • Whenever performed preventive maintenance activity and filter cleaning activity the same shall be recorded in the remarks column of Annexure-I.
