- PROCEDURE:
- A TOC analyzer, or Total Organic Carbon analyzer, is a scientific instrument used to measure the amount of organic carbon present in various liquid samples, most commonly water.
- Procedure for the Operation of TOC analyzer:
- Connect the inlet line of the TOC analyzer to the Pressurized sample valve and the outlet to the drain.
- Switch ‘ON’ the main power supply to the system.
- Switch ‘ON’ the system button on the side of the analyzer.
- Wait for a minute till it displays systems information regarding Sr. No. Software version.
- Water from the Pressurized sample valve is filtered through a 60 µm in-line filter.
- From the displayed screen, press the ‘MAIN’ button.
- Next press the ‘MENU’ button on the screen. From the displayed screen, press the ‘SETUP’ button & select the mode of analysis i.e.,
- On-line: – If analyzing samples on-line in water plant.
- On-line Timer.
- On-line Average.
- Grab Analysis:
- Then in the same screen press configure button.
- Select ‘REP’& enter the desired number of repetitions.
- Select ‘REP’& enter the desired number of rejections & press ‘BACK’ button.
- Then press ‘DATA’ button, in that ‘VIEW’ button, then ‘SETUP’ button. Then press the VALUE button & select the desired configuration for analysis from the following:
