- PROCEDURE:
- Make: Techno search Instruments, Model: AP-15
- Ensure that the instrument is clean and free from dust, Traces of Oil etc.
- Ensure that the power cord is connected to the power socket.
- ‘ON’ the main switch fitted on the front side of the press.
- Clean the Anvil and plunger with solvent to remove the grease.
- Insert the Anvil with polished surface facing with upwards in the SS die.
- Fill evenly the powder sample on the Anvil surface and spread it using plunger.Insert plunger facing polished surface downwards.
- Place the assembled Die on the cover plate of cylinder of the press.
- Move the screw with handle turning clockwise until it touches the plunger.
- Close the release knob turning clockwise.Insert acrylic sheets on front and back side slots.
- Apply pressure by pressing ‘START’ switch as the pumping operation starts by electrically(normally pressure required 8-10 tons).
- The pressure will stop as soon as the pressure reaches to set value in the pressure switch.
- Wait for appropriate time.Release the pressure by turning the release knob in anticlockwise direction.
- Take out the total die from press and keep again the same assembled die in opposite direction to remove the pellet (anvil upward and plunger downward).
- Keep the SS stand on anvil, touch the screw by handle in clockwise direction (manually).
- Clean all the traces of sample and store the Die in Dry Box or Desiccator.
