  • OBJECTIVE:
  • To lay down the procedure for operation of Fogger.
  • SCOPE:
  • This SOP is applicable for the procedure for operation of Fogger at {Company Name} {Location}.
  • RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Officer/Executive/Designee Micro. – Shall be responsible for is responsible to perform the activity as per SOP.
  • Head/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for ensuring compliance as per SOP.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY:
  • QA Head shall be Accountable for implementation of SOP.
  • About Fogger:
  • In the pharmaceutical industry, a fogger is a device used to disperse a disinfectant solution into a fine mist or fog. This method, known as fogging, is employed to effectively sanitize and decontaminate controlled areas within pharmaceutical facilities. The fogger machine atomizes the disinfectant solution into tiny particles, allowing it to reach and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and the air, thus reducing the risk of microbial contamination and ensuring a sterile environment for pharmaceutical production.
  • PROCEDURE:
  • A fogger is a device that creates a fine mist, or fog, typically containing chemicals like insecticides or disinfectants.
  • OPERATION:
  • Pour the liquid through the funnel on the lid, use hand gloves, goggles and mask.
  • Always ensure the “Air Filter” is in place before switching on the fogger
  • Replace the filter every 4 months.
  • Switch on the power supply. Red indicator light glows on the Timer Device.
  • Set the desired fumigation time period by using the black rotating knob provided on the timer device.
  • NOTE: The time setting should be adjusted only when the machine is OFF. The time period range is 5 to 60 Minutes, the minimum time period is 5 min.
  • Switch ON to start the machine.
  • To restart, toggle switch, OFF and ON.
