OPERATION OF GLOBAL EXHAUST SYSTEM

  • PROCEDURE:
  •  Precautions:
  • Check the service door  it should be in closed condition before starting the exhaust unit.
  • Check the damper position as per standard marking, if not in proper position adjust it.
  • If global exhaust unit is connected with AHU’s, first switch on the AHU and Global Exhaust unit.
  • Switch on the High pressure area AHU’s first followed by the low pressure areas in case of power resume after power failure as per below mentioned.
  •  Starting:
  • Start Exhaust unit Blower Motor by pressing the start push button.
  • Observe for any abnormal sound or vibrations.
  • If Global exhaust unit runs continuously, put ‘RC’ in ON time column of log sheet.
  • Stopping:
  • Stop the Global exhaust unit Blower Motor by pressing stop push button.
  • Record the activity in Annexure-I.  
  • If Global exhaust unit runs continuously, put ‘RC’ in OFF time column of log sheet.
  • Frequency of Global exhaust unit Operation:
  • Whenever the area is in operation.
  • Whenever performed preventive maintenance activity and filter cleaning activity the same shall be recorded in the remarks column of Annexure-I.
  • Record the activity in Annexure-I.
