OPERATION OF PIPETTES WASHER

• OBJECTIVE:
• To lay down the procedure for operation of the pipettes washer in QC Department.
• SCOPE:
• This SOP is applicable to the procedure for Operation of the pipettes washer in QC Department at {Company Name} {Location}.
• RESPONSIBILITY:
• Officer/Executive/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for operation as per SOP.
• Head/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for ensuring compliance as per SOP.
• ACCOUNTABILITY:
• QA Head shall be Accountable for implementation of SOP.
• PROCEDURE:

• Keep all the washable pipettes into the pipettes washer Apparatus.
• Fill the Apparatus above the level of the pipettes with raw water and move the sliding mechanism Up and down for five times then drain the water.
• Add approximately (25ml) of Teepol/Equivalent solution into the washer and fill the washer with Raw water above the level of the pipettes.
• Move the sliding mechanism up and down of the Pipettes washer for 5 times then drain the water.
• Fill the apparatus with Purified water above the level of the pipettes and move the sliding Mechanism up and down for five times.
• Wash the pipettes till the Soap solution is removed completely.
• Take out all the pipettes one by one and clean with Acetone, keep for drying at 60 Deg C.
• Take out the dried pipettes from the oven and keep in their designated places.
