- PROCEDURE:
- The Sound Level Meter is used to measure the intensity of sound in terms of Decibels.
- Select the range button by sliding the button (dB) to 30 – 80, 50 – 100 or 80 – 130 dB as per our requirement.
- Ensure that the response is in S/F (Slow/Fast) mode.
- If we require to measure the short duration response, then it should be changed to “S” mode or otherwise it should be turned to “F” mode.
- Hold the instrument and power ON the instrument to measure the sound level at required place.
- Wait for a minute and note down the value and then switch it OFF.
