OPERATION OF ULTRA SONIC SONICATOR

  • OBJECTIVE:
  • To lay down the procedure for Operation of ultra sonic cleaner.
  • SCOPE:

This SOP is applicable to procedure for Operation of ultra sonic cleaner at {Company Name} {Location}.

  • RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Officer/Executive/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for operation as per SOP.
  • Head/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for ensuring compliance as per SOP.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY:

             QA Head shall be Accountable for implementation of SOP.

  • PROCEDURE:
    • Ensure that the working bench and instrument is clean.
    • Check the instrument calibration status.
    • Connect the power cord to the power socket and Switch “ON” the mains.
    • Fill the ultrasonic bath with water up to 1/4th of the total depth.
    • If water is hazy or dirty drain the water from the outlet valve provided on the right side of the instrument and replace it with fresh water.
    • Switch on the power button present on the front panel of the equipment.
    • Parameter Setting
      • Press Time key present on Mode soft key on front panel of the equipment, a green light glow and now by using the “▲or▼” keys set the required time.
      • To see the set time press the set key present on Display soft key present on front panel of equipment.
      • If the heater is required switch, it on by using the heater switch present on the front panel of equipment. Press the Temp key present on Mode soft key present on front panel of equipment, a green light glow and now by using the “▲or▼” keys set the required temperature.
      • To see the set temp press the set key present on Display soft key present on front panel of the equipment.
    • Place the solution prepared as per the specification in SS basket.
    • Press the cleaner soft key present on front panel of the equipment.
    • After the set time the equipment stops automatically.
    • Now switch off the instrument.
  • NOTE:
  • Do not operate the equipment without filling water
  • Do not operate the equipment if the temperature has gone above 55°C
  • Do not place any heavy object directly on bottom of the tank as this damage’s transducers,
  • Always use SS basket provided to place the samples.
