PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECK LIST OF RAPID MIXER GRANULATOR

A high-shear mixing and granulation machine used in the pharmaceutical and food industries.

It combines powder ingredients and a binder solution to create granules.

Granules are easier to handle, flow better, and improve the consistency of final products like tablets and capsules.

1	Check the motor and gearbox, service immediately if required.	Tighten and lubricate the motor, gear box. If any sound observed, service it.
2	Check the coupling condition between motor and gear box.	Check the physical condition of coupling. If any damage, replace it.
3	Check the gear box oil seals and bearings, replace if necessary.	Check the physical condition of oil seal and bearings. If any damage, replace it.
4	Check the seals for pneumatic cylinders, replace if necessary.	Check the physical condition of seals for cylinders. If required, replace it.
5	Check and clean the Teflon ring below the impeller.	Check the physical condition of Teflon ring and clean the Teflon. If any wear and tear, replace it.
6	Check the chopper gland, replace if required.	Check the gland by removing the chopper alignment. If required, replace it.
7	Check all the motor bearing conditions lubricate/replace.	Apply the grease on bearings and check the working condition. If required, replace it.
8	Check the connections of motor terminal box tighten them if required.	Check and tighten all motor terminals with proper tools.
9	Check the contactor kits clean/replace if required.	Check and clean the contractor kits with CRC and dry cloth. If required, replace it.
10	Check the seating of discharge valve whether it cause the interference with impeller.	Lubricate the cylinder of discharge valve .Check the working condition of discharge valve. It is fitted inside or not. Replace it.
11	Check all the safety interlocks working condition.	Check all the interlock by operating one by one and observe in SCADA.
