PROCEDURE FOR BACKUP POWER

  • PROCEDURE:
  • When EB power fails, immediately start the DG set.
  • Check and ensure the Voltage, RPM, Frequency & Oil pressure.
  • Close the DG control panel ACB.
  • Close the DG incomer ACB in the power control center.
  • Concerned engineering personnel has to switch on the AHU’s, DHU’s, utility equipments and remaining loads.
  • When EB power resumes check and ensure the 3 Phase voltages should be in-between 415 – 420 Volts.
  • Intimate to the production in- charge for soft shut down of all the loads.
  • Open the DG incomer ACB in the PCC panel.
  • Close the EB incomer ACB in the PCC panel.
  • Open DG control panel ACB.
  • Stop the DG set after 5 minutes idle running.
  • Above mentioned EB power to DG power or DG power to EB power changeover procedure should be complete within 02 minutes only.
