- OBJECTIVE:
To lay down a procedure for monitoring of Parameters in purified water system during instrument calibration period / instrument failure.
- SCOPE:
This SOP is applicable for monitoring of Parameters in purified water system during instrument calibration period / instrument failure at {Company Name} {Company Location}.
- RESPONSIBILITY:
- Technical Assistant – Engineering shall be responsible for monitoring of Parameters in purified water system during instrument calibration period / instrument failure.
- Executive / HOD – Engineering shall be responsible to ensure the compliance with respect to monitoring of Parameters in purified water system during instrument calibration period / instrument failure.

Head Quality Assurance
- PROCEDURE:
- Parameters (TOC, Conductivity, pH, etc.) of Purified water system shall be monitored by the lab instrument, which is available in QC department till the calibration / failure of the instrument completed. The monitoring frequency shall be hourly once.
- In case Instrument failure, PNC shall be raised and subsequently closed as per procedure.
- The sample shall be collected as per regular sampling procedure.
- The sample shall be checked and recorded the data as per Annexure-I.
- If any deviation is found during the monitoring period of the Purified Water System, same shall be stopped and PNC shall be raised as per respective SOP, accordingly corrective action shall be initiated.
- In case of ORP meter failure, free chlorine shall be checked by the purified water system operator and recorded the data hourly once till rectification of the failure as per Annexure-I.
- In case of UV intensity meter failure / calibration period spare calibrated intensity meter shall be fixed and monitor as per SOP.
