VERTICAL AUTOCLAVE: A vertical autoclave, also known as a top-loading autoclave or steam sterilizer, is a cylindrical chamber used for sterilization by steam under pressure.
Cleaning procedure:
Dedust the surface of the autoclave by using lint free cloth and followed by 70% IPA soaked with lint free cloth and record the activity in Format-I.
Use the drain valve to drain the machine of used distilled water.
Place suitable size vessel below the drain valve and open it.
The door gasket and mating surface should be wiped with a clean damp cloth. (Do not use abrasive cleaners on the gasket or mating surface)
Frequency: Daily after completion of the activity.
