CLEANING OF WATERBATH (CINTEX)

• OBJECTIVE:
• To lay down a procedure for Cleaning of water bath (Make: Cintex; Model: GMP model-CIC-2).
• SCOPE:
• This SOP is applicable to the procedure for Cleaning of water bath used in the microbiology lab at {Company Name} {Location}.
• RESPONSIBILITY:
• Officer/Executive/Designee (QC) Micro. – Shall be responsible to perform the cleaning activity as per SOP.
• Head/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for ensuring compliance as per SOP.
• ACCOUNTABILITY:
• QA Head shall be Accountable for implementation of SOP.
• PROCEDURE:
• WATERBATH: A water bath is a piece of essential equipment found in QC and microbiology laboratories. It is a container filled with heated water that is used to maintain a constant temperature for a prolonged period of time.

• Cleaning:
• WATERBATH
• Make: Cintex
• Model: GMP model-CIC-2
• Before cleaning, ensure the power supply is “OFF”.
• Daily clean and replace the water in the water bath and enter the cleaning details in Water Bath cleaning logbook.
