• ENTRY AND EXIT PROCEDURE INTO MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY:

• ENTRY TO MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY:
• Persons entering into microbiology laboratory shall follow SOP for the entry.
• Before entering in to microbiology laboratory, remove the street footwear and keep it in the designated racks provided in the cross over bench. (One side)
• Take the laboratory footwear from the rack in the crossover bench and place it on the floor. (Other side)
• Cross the cross over bench and wear the footwear and enter into the microbiology area.Visitors shall wear the shoe covers provided in the cross over bench by sitting on the cross over bench.Disinfect the hands with 70% IPA solution.
• EXIT FROM MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY:
• Remove the laboratory footwear and keep it in the designated racks provided in the cross over bench.
• Cross the cross over bench and wear the street footwear.
• Visitors shall remove the shoe cover after crossing over the cross over bench and drop it into designated place.

Note: The laboratory footwear shall be cleaned by housekeeping people twice in a week as per SOP.
