OBJECTIVE:
To lay down the procedure for operation of Refrigerator, Make: Samsung.
SCOPE:
This SOP is applicable for the procedure for operation of Refrigerator, Make: Samsung at {Company Name} {Location}.
RESPONSIBILITY:
- In charge- Microbiology- is responsible to ensure compliance as per SOP.
- Head/Designee Quality Control – Shall be responsible for ensuring compliance as per SOP.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
QA Head shall be Accountable for implementation of SOP.
About Refrigerator:
Refrigerators are essential in pharmaceutical microlabs for storing temperature-sensitive materials like microbial cultures, reagents, and samples. They maintain a stable low temperature, preventing degradation and ensuring accurate results. Refrigerators also help preserve the potency and efficacy of pharmaceuticals, ensuring product quality.
PROCEDURE:
Check electric supply (220 VAC), if required connect the equipment through a suitable voltage stabilizer.
Switch ON the Mains supply of required chamber and set the required temperature by using temperature controller in the refrigerator as per manual instructions.Record the stored accessories in storage log sheet for Refrigerator.
Safety precautions:
Ensure that the electrical switches are grounded.
Keep the door of the Refrigerator closed when not in use.
Call the maintenance engineer in case of any breakdown.
