ENTRY AND EXIT IN TO MICROBIOLOGY TESTING AREA

  • ENTRY AND EXIT PROCEDURE IN TO MICROBIOLOGY TESTING AREA :
  • A microbiology testing area is a specialized laboratory section designed to analyze and identify microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
  • ENTRY TO MICROBIOLOGY TESTING AREA:
  • Entry to microbiology department as per respective SOP.
  • Entry to microbiology testing area is restricted and for concerned persons only.
  • Enter into change room-1.
  • Remove laboratory footwear.
  • Keep it in the designated place provided in the change room-1.
  • Disinfect the hands with 70% IPA solution.

Note: Don’t open the change room-1 door, when change room-2 door is open.

  • Now enter into the Change room -2.
  • Wear the sterile gloves and disinfectant the hands with 70% IPA Solution or suitable disinfectant.
  • Open the garment cubicle and take the sterilized secondary gown and booties.
  • Wear the sterile secondary gown with head cover and booties.
  • Disinfect the gloved hands with 70% IPA Solution or suitable disinfectant.

Note: Personnel working in the Microbiology testing area shall open or shut the doors gently. Shall not perform any fast movements inside the LAF area.

  • Enter into Cool Zone room and take all the necessaries for testing.
  • Enter the LAF Room for further microbiological analysis.
  • Disinfect the gloved hands prior any analysis inside the LAF area.
  • EXIT FROM MICROBIOLOGY TESTING AREA:
  • Enter into the change room, remove the secondary gown with head cover, booties and remove the used gloves and place at designated place.
  • Enter into change room-1, wear laboratory footwear and disinfect the hands with 70 % IPA Solution.
  • Exit from the change room -1.
