- OBJECTIVE:
To lay down a procedure for Operation of UPS – 40 KVA.
- SCOPE:
This SOP is applicable for Operation of UPS – 40 KVA at {Company Name} {Company Location}.
- RESPONSIBILITY:
- Technical Assistant – Engineering is responsible to operate the system as per the SOP.
- Head Engineering / In charge – is responsible to ensure the compliance as per the SOP.
- ACCOUNTABILITY:

- PROCEDURE:
- PrecautionsCheck and ensure proper ventilation for the UPS system.
- Ensure that the system is not in corrosive fumes and humid atmospheres.
- Check the earthing of the UPS system and ensure earth to neutral voltage should be below 1 Volt.
- While switching ON/OFF the UPS system, should not be in loading Condition.
- Check and ensure the UPS system, batteries and its surroundings for cleanliness.
- Starting Procedure
- Check and ensure presence of AC mains power supply to the UPS system.
- Switch ON the battery circuit breaker and AC mains circuit breaker.
- After 15 seconds the LCD displays operational functions.
- Select “CONFIGURATION” function by using up /down arrow functional keys and press Enter functional key.
- LCD displays “CONFIRM LOAD ON INVERTER”. Select “YES, CONFIRM” function by using up / down arrow functional keys and press Enter functional key to switch ON the UPS.
- Stopping procedure
- Press ESC Functional key to exit below displayed picture.
- Select “COMMAND” function by using up / down arrow functional keys and press Enter functional key.
- LCD displays “CONFIRM LOAD OFF INVERTER”. Select “YES, CONFIRM” function by using up / down arrow functional keys and press Enter functional key to switch OFF the UPS.
